Purpose <\/p>\n

This lesson examined the learning and situational factors associated with criminal behavior such as an individual’s social environment and media. The purpose of this assignment is to examine the mechanisms by which people can justify committing aggressive and non-aggressive crimes. <\/p>\n

Instructions<\/p>\n

While most of the assignments in this course relate to aggressive crimes, this week you will have the chance to examine both aggressive and non-aggressive crimes. You will:<\/p>\n

1. Provide a brief, 2.5-3  page discussion of factors involved in learned criminal behavior.<\/p>\n

2. Choose an aggressive, violent crime and a non-aggressive or white-collar violation. Write a one-paragraph scenario of each crime.<\/p>\n

3. Create a chart such as the one shown in the assignment instruction.  In the first column, list the reasons that people give themselves for committing crimes or ethical violations of any type.  In the second column, apply those reasons specifically to a violent crime, and in the third column apply those reasons to a non-violent crime. <\/span>[<\/strong>The chart template can be found in the Lesson 4 resources of the Course Resources which can be accessed using the top navigation bar.]<\/strong><\/p>\n

Length: 5-7 pages, not including title or reference pages. <\/p>\n

References: Include a minimum of 3 scholarly references. <\/p>\n
