The assessments are not always an accurate representation of what a student may know. Some children get very anxious during testing and it does not show an accurate description of all they know. Their also may be other factors that can hinder performance during testing such as illness, sleep deprivation, English as a second language or disabilities. The tests also don&#8217;t show a child&#8217;s creativity and they take up more time in the classroom during the week giving the tests that could be spent on more playful learning.
