For this assignment you will identify an older family member (60+ years old) with whom you can interact throughout the semester. You will be required to engage in<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/span><\/span>3 separate<\/span><\/span><\/span><\/span>conversations with your selected family member in an effort to deepen your learning of the various aspects of adult development that we will be covering over the course of the semester. We will be covering between 12 and 15 broad topics and you will be required to select at least three topics to thoroughly cover in your case study. Th<\/span><\/span>at means you must have <\/span><\/span><\/span>three in-depth conver<\/span><\/span>sations with your family member, <\/span><\/span><\/span>which you will document clearly in your paper (date, time, general location of interview such as \u201cin my grandmother\u2019s home\u201d or \u201cover the phone\u201d, etc.) It will be important to have read the chapter and to have a solid understanding of the material prior to your interview\/discussion. <\/span><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

You will create a semi-structured interview protocol for each discussion and you will turn each of these in with your final paper<\/span><\/span> <\/span>(the appendices)<\/span><\/span>. You <\/span><\/span><\/span>DO NOT<\/span><\/span> <\/span>need to transcri<\/span><\/span>be the interview word-for-word.
