Individual reflection paper <\/span>
You are expected to hand in one written task that you can work on individually and independently. In this task, you choose a theory, model, or concept we discussed during class or related to our covered contents and apply it to your personal or work-life experiences.<\/span>
Objectives<\/span>
The task has three objectives:<\/span>
1. You can demonstrate that you have understood one of the concepts, models, or theories we covered in class (or one related to our covered topics).<\/span>
2. You will demonstrate your ability to apply the concept, model, or theory to your personal (e.g., work- related) problem. This step is crucial: In times of AI, everyone can summarize a theory in a generic way. Your job will be to summarize and explain it in a way that works well for your specific question or problem, and this research focus has to be unique. Therefore, you work on a personal (e.g., work-related) experience and discuss what the concept\/model\/theory adds to your prior understanding of it.<\/span>
3. You demonstrate that you can work with your chosen concept\/model\/theory scientifically, meaning that you submit a scientific paper in terms of form, language, style, and content.<\/span>

Your text should be between 800 and 1200 words (excluding references). Structure your<\/span>
text into meaningful parts. Describe the respective theoretical basis and application you want to discuss, reflect (critically) on what it means and can (or cannot) explain regarding your personal (everyday life or work-related) context.<\/span>
Your text should cover the following aspects:<\/span>
\u2022 First, you write a short introduction describing what you refer to and why. What is the<\/span>
question or problem in focus? Why is this relevant? Come up with a question or thesis<\/span>
that you want to focus on.<\/span>
\u2022 Afterwards, describe\/explain the concept\/model\/theory and the personal or work-<\/span>
related experience\/situation\/anecdote to which you want to apply it.<\/span>
\u2022 Then, you apply the concept\/model\/theory. This includes the description of the context<\/span>
from the perspective of your chosen concept\/model\/theory and an analysis and interpretation of the context from your chosen perspective. Can you concretize which aspects of your application belong to which aspect of your concept\/model\/theory? Are you able to use the adequate technical terms? Do you cite your references, and do you cite correctly?<\/span>
\u2022 Eventually, you come to a thoughtful, critical conclusion. Evaluate your approach critically. What was most significant, and what are possible limitations, other perspectives, alternatives, and implications for your (future) behavior? Does your concept\/model\/theory teach you something new about the described question or problem? What can it not explain? What do you learn from the limitations and the implications?<\/span>
