Debriefing is an important, although often overlooked, part of any project. With hindsight, we can often learn more about a <\/span>project after<\/span> rather than during its execution. This individual report asks you to <\/span>identify<\/span> what went well, what could have gone better, and what lessons can be taken forward for the future. Incorporate personal, academic, and entrepreneurial perspectives to contextualize the project process and use Gibb\u2019s reflective cycle to structure the report into the following sections:<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

In a group of 6 we <\/span>was<\/span> required to contact, interview, research and <\/span>analyze<\/span> a small business of our choice with fewer than 50 employees <\/span>located<\/span> within the United Kingdom, preferably London for ease of research.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The purpose of the project was to understand the intentions, <\/span>behaviors<\/span> and experiences of small businesses and their owners \/ managers, as they relate to business growth and development, and to apply your research abilities and creativity to critically <\/span>analyze<\/span> their market, operations and <\/span>identify<\/span> solutions to challenges they face.<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

We ended up choosing <\/span>to interview Bruno Rodriguez, CEO of David Cleaning Contractors: a cleaning company in the UK, <\/span>operating<\/span> in London<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Bruno Rodriguez was a fami<\/span>ly <\/span>member of Laura (one of my group members) We conducted the <\/span>interview on <\/span>Microsoft teams and all group members were all in the university<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I <\/span>was in charge of<\/span> formulating the questions for my part of the project, this <\/span>was <\/span> \u2013<\/span> Vision and <\/span>assessment :<\/span> What is the business vision for growth and how likely are they to <\/span>realize<\/span> their vision? What are the biggest challenges that they face? In your assessment, what is the overall health of the business? <\/span>Where is the business currently located in the organizational life cycle?<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

I specifically questioned Bruno with specific questions that allowed me to answer the questions for my section of the project (Vision and assessment) <\/span>I also doubled checked everyone <\/span>else<\/span> questions and went back and forth with team members to ensure <\/span>their<\/span> questions were good enough to get a<\/span>s best of an answer as possible for their part. <\/span>I also went out of my way to find <\/span>additional<\/span> research (tax <\/span>filings on you.gov) <\/span>to help answer my section (vision assessment) for the group project <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Other team members where <\/span>responsible<\/span> for their own part but we all <\/span>collaborated<\/span> and helped <\/span>each other<\/span> when needed <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

The feelings I felt was Nervousness <\/span>stress <\/span>and anxiety \u2013 this is because I do not have much experience with interviewing and <\/span>being <\/span>responsible<\/span> <\/span>for<\/span> making sure that each question was good enough to best answer the questions <\/span>i<\/span> need for the project. <\/span>However there was <\/span>relief<\/span> knowing that we had <\/span>someone<\/span> that was willing to spend as much time as we need, making sure all our questions are <\/span>answered with as much detail as possible (this is <\/span>because<\/span> there was a strong relationship between Lura and Bruno)<\/span> also stress from relying on others to make sure the project was completed to a high standard <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For question 4. Analysis Why did the project go the way it did? What contributed to the success and challenges? How well was the project managed and how could it have been improved? <\/span>– the Project went really well in terms of the actual interview as there was a strong previous <\/span>relationship<\/span> between <\/span>Laura (my group member) and Bruno Rodriguez (CEO) as <\/span>they are family members.<\/span> The only challenges were coming up with good enough questions and <\/span>analyzing<\/span> the answers and properly <\/span>writing out the analysis to answer the question for each of our parts (in mt case \u2013 the vision assessment) <\/span>we managed the work very well and <\/span>efficiently<\/span> by <\/span>dividing<\/span> each section and allocating a section to each group member this was a good and <\/span>efficient<\/span> way of doing the project however it <\/span>could<\/span> of been done <\/span>better by taking a more collaborative approach <\/span>by putting all of our minds onto one section at a time and conducting the analysis together \u2013 this would of allowed for a better flowing project and a more detailed and Indepth analysis<\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n

For question 5 (conclusions) the most important discoveries was things about working as a team<\/span> and taking a deep dive into the life of someone Elses business and <\/span>learning<\/span> the skills to <\/span>analysis<\/span>, <\/span>interview<\/span> a <\/span>business<\/span> owner in a way that deconstructs their <\/span>business<\/span> <\/span>journey<\/span> to conduct analysis<\/span> <\/span> <\/span>and <\/span>please <\/span>go through the file starting with original group project to help answer this question <\/span><\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
