Case Analyses <\/span><\/div>\n
Each person is responsible for writing up an <\/span>case analyses (<\/span>3 pages maximum, 1-inch margins,
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
double spaced and 12-point font<\/span>). Each case will contribute 10% to the final grade. These write-ups
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
will be responses to questions that I will distribute in advance of each week\u2019s readings. You are free
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
to discuss and work with groups of any size, however all final submissions should be prepared
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
independently. <\/span>If you choose to work in groups, acknowledge all group members involved in the case
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
discussion.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
Students are required to choose one <\/b><\/span>out of the following four cases for this assignment \u2013<\/span><\/div>\n

1. Aravind (Session 5)<\/span><\/div>\n

Some guidelines and expectations:
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
– This is NOT a case summary. Beyond a brief introduction of the company, you should avoid
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
simply describing the case. Be analytical.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
– The purpose of the case is to provide information for you to illustrate your statements and
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
defend your points.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
– Focus. Aim for depth rather than breadth.
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
– Write in <\/span>prose<\/span>; we expect a short essay. Articulate the main points clearly using topic
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
sentences and make sure the writing and argumentation flows logically. No bullet lists are to
\n<\/span><\/div>\n
be employed.

– <\/span>The deadline for the individual essay is 9:00am of the day on which the case is discussed. <\/span><\/div>\n
