Political Compass (https:\/\/www.politicalcompass.org\/test) is a test designed to determine your
\npolitical ideology. Students are required to take this test and write a 750 to 1000 word essay
\nreflecting upon their scores.
\nMust include reference to Lord of the Rings
\nSome questions you might answer include (but are not limited to):
\n\u25cf Do you think the score accurately reflects your ideology?
\n\u25cf Did anything surprise you about your score?
\n\u25cf What did you learn about your own ideology?
\nThe Political Compass measurements will be taken in class on April 2, although students are
\nwelcome to take the test sooner.
\nEssay Requirements:
\n\u25cf Must identify and draw connections with at least 3 relevant course concepts.
\n\u25cf Must include reference to Lord of the Rings
\n\u25cf Must not utilize any outside sources. References to lectures, slides, and readings must
\nbe cited in a citation style of your choice.
\n\u25cf Must include a thesis statement, responding to one of the questions above.
