This is a practitioner Research project at Post grad level in Special Education in Ireland. The research is in a  primary school about a dyslexic student of 12 years old <\/span><\/p>\n

The Project is a form of enquiry and research carried out by practitioners into their own practices – my research is:<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span>Investigating the role of assistive technology in enhancing self-esteem and literacy learning outcomes for students with dyslexia during project work <\/span><\/p>\n

(The aim is to investigate the use of assistive technology to enhance self esteem for a student with dyslexia during project work – using free assistive technology tools easily accessible – spell check, grammar check, speech to text – voice typing in google docs the student will compile a project about  a football player – using mindmapping tools to plan, design  and layout of project, using the spell check, grammar check and voice typing tools to type up the relevant information researched by student on the chosen footballer. The student will benefit from using assistive technology tools as they find written\/spelling activities difficult with dyslexic challenges. <\/span><\/p>\n

Research Methods:<\/span> <\/span><\/p>\n

I<\/span> will be using both quantative and qualitative research methods referencing kurt lewin (see guidelines file attached) <\/span><\/p>\n

I will use questionaires\/recorded interviews with student and also with other professionals on their experience using assistive technology in the classroom to support students with dyslexia<\/span><\/p>\n

I would like you to complete the practitioner research project write up as best you can, I will be completing questionaires\/recorded interviews with both student and some colleagues based on the investigating assistive tech….(see title above)  <\/span><\/p>\n
