In this assignment, you will write a blog post for members of the public who are interested in justice system policy reform. Your blog post will be written in a word document and focus on the ethical issues relevant to reform efforts related to the crime you selected to focus on in this course. In the blog post, you will discuss the following:<\/p>\n

  • An introduction to the topic through a case example that represents the crime you are focusing on in this course. You may use the same case you discussed in your lesson 1 assignment, or you may choose a different case, either from the media or your own experience.<\/li>\n
  • A discussion of one to two ethical issues that are relevant to current law, policy, and practice. TIP: You may review your lesson 6 assignment and use information included in the current law, policy, and practice section of that outline. Also, consider the questions posed in this lesson\u2019s overview to guide your discussion of the ethical issue(s).<\/li>\n
  • A discussion of one to two ethical issues that are relevant to contemporary reform. TIP: Again, you may review your lesson 6 assignment and use information included in contemporary reform efforts related to the crime type section of that outline. You will also likely find it helpful to review the questions posed in this lesson\u2019s overview to guide your discussion.<\/li>\n
  • Your opinion regarding one to two ethical issues that must be addressed in future reform efforts, and what strategies may be used to address these issues. Make sure to clearly indicate how your reform recommendations would address the ethical issue(s).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
