2. Douglas worked with other abolitionists of his time to
\ncreate the emotional climate on how to end slavery. <\/p>\n

3. After his escape, Douglass was subjected to prejudice
\nin the North which prompted him to write his second autobiography: My Bondage
\nand My Freedom. <\/p>\n

4. Having witnessed the cruelty of slavery, Douglass used
\nhis speeches and newspaper to call attention to the plights of enslaved blacks
\nin the United States.<\/p>\n
