\nbe on what you take to be Jarvis\u2019 or Kolbert\u2019s claims about the validity and

Introduce the text and
\nidentify its basic claim\/thesis.  <\/span>Arrange
\nthe body of your paper so that your readers can move through it in an orderly
\nway. Also, make a judgment about the text\u2019s rhetorical effectiveness. Remember,
\neverything you write in this class should be argument-driven and have a
\nstrong thesis statement. <\/i>You are not simply reporting back about what
\nJarvis and Kolbert do in their essays: you are explaining how they do it, why
\nthey do it, and how well they do it. <\/span><\/p>\n

Throughout your analysis,
\nyou need to <\/span>provide evidence.<\/u> You should directly quote from the popular
