Processes<\/h4>\n

In this presentation, you will discuss <\/span>at least two key processes<\/strong> <\/span>for your nation\u2019s NSIS. Your selection is critically important, and it is up to you to make your selection. These processes are not necessarily governmental. Examples might include the following:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • Budgeting<\/li>\n
  • Project selection<\/li>\n
  • Support for commercial space activities<\/li>\n
  • Legal or regulatory activities<\/li>\n
  • Financing of commercial ventures<\/li>\n
  • Selection and appointment of government agency leaders<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    Institution<\/h4>\n

    In discussing institutions, it is important to answer the following questions:<\/p>\n

      \n
    • What is the function or purpose of the process?<\/li>\n
    • Which government or commercial organizations are involved?<\/li>\n
    • Which organizations exert the most influence? What is their source of influence?<\/li>\n
    • Are there key individuals who influence these processes?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

      Impact<\/h4>\n

      You will address the key question of whether these institutions have a positive or negative impact on the effectiveness of the NSIS.<\/p>\n

      Comparison<\/h4>\n

      You will also compare one process to one of the peer countries you identified in earlier presentations. This does not need to be a detailed analysis. This can simply be a discussion of whether the processes are similar across countries.<\/p>\n

      Peer Country: China<\/p>\n

      Each presentation should be a <\/span><\/span>maximum<\/strong> <\/span>of<\/span> <\/span>five minutes.<\/strong> <\/span>Practice being succinct yet fully detailed as you present your findings. A shorter more focused presentation that fully covers the content in detail is much preferred than a longer, unfocused presentation.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n
