\nCitations to the memoir should simply be parenthetical notations as after the
\nrelevant sentence as you see here.<\/span><\/b><\/span><\/b><\/p>\n

\nshould have a brief paragraph that introduces the question you will answer and
\nprovides an argument\u2014a thesis statement. (Think of it as a one-sentence summary

\nanswered based on the memoir\u2019s contents. Do not be afraid to be uncertain. No
\nsingle source can ever answer all of our historical questions. Every historical
\nsource provides but a limited slice of history, a single point of view on
\nevents. The key is to understand what you can and cannot answer from a
