Use Harry J. Holzer “Understanding the Impact of Automation on Workers, Jobs, and Wages” and one PBSC Library Database source as evidence to support your argument. A significant part of the grade is the student’s ability to use the PBSC Library Databases to find a scholarly source.
The introductory paragraph should stimulate the reader’s interest, provide background, state current relevance, and end with a clearly stated 1-2 sentence thesis. Your thesis should answer the following question.
What are the reasons and/or effects of robots taking human jobs?
Each body paragraph (2 to 3) should have a clearly stated topic sentence and use evidence from the related assigned reading and one PBSC Library Database source in the format of a direct quote, paraphrase and/or summary. The evidence must be attributed to the author. Also, be sure to interpret and analyze the evidence to support your argument.
The concluding paragraph should frame your essay by recalling the importance of the topic as introduced in the introductory paragraph or hook. You may restate the thesis, but be sure to use new and different vocabulary to express the same idea.
