This is an admissions essay to a dental hygiene school. I have almost two years of experience as a dental assistant. I am a single mom and so my biggest motivation is my 4 children but especially my oldest son who I had at 19. I want to show my children it’s never too late. I was given the opportunity to start working as a dental assistant with no experience. It was very hard because all the other employees had experience. I had to learn by basically getting thrown into assisting different doctors. I became very passionate about oral hygiene and wanting to help patients.
