In this research paper, we will seek to find reasons why incidents go unreported and what effects they can have on employees and as well as on an organization’s safety culture and reputation. By conducting work peer surveys, interviewing safety professionals, and researching safety reports, we hope to gain an understanding of why incidents do not get reported. We will also look to develop methods on how a company can improve its incident reporting.
The research paper must have some original data (even if it is made up). A questionnaire/interview sheet shall be attached. Participants are from the oil and gas industry (oil drilling contractor, shipyard, oil and gas refinery).
