The editorial team has reviewed the submitted documents and provided comments and highlights directly on the files. Although I have delivered this exact lesson in my own classroom, the editors feel that the current version does not clearly demonstrate realistic sequencing, alignment of activities, or effective time management.
Please note that this submission is for the Cambridge International Certificate in Teaching and Learning, which will be formally reviewed by the Cambridge institution to determine a pass or fail. At present, the editors have indicated that my writing is not yet up to the required standard.
As such, I need your support in revising the materials to ensure they meet Cambridge’s expectations. The writing must strictly follow the Cambridge format, and you should carefully adhere to the word count limits stated on each page.
Please revise the lesson plan to ensure it is:
- Practical and realistic for a classroom setting
- Logically sequenced and clearly connected
- Detailed and specific enough for any teacher or substitute teacher to implement with ease
The lesson introduces brochure writing, using a music activity to illustrate how different genres evoke distinct emotions and perspectives. This mirrors how the design and content of a brochure can shape a reader’s interpretation. For the main assignment, students will choose a famous or historical location in Singapore and create a brochure. This task is integrated with our Unit of Inquiry on structures.
There is also an observation form linked to this lesson plan that needs to be rewritten. An example of the required format is attached for reference. Lastly, please review the reflection paper. The editors have included comments, and I’ve responded to some in blue—feel free to rewrite or refine these responses as needed.
