The research workbook (3,000 words excluding references and appendices) is based on the Pebblepad weekly activities, and is structured around five sections (please see below) which should make it possible for you to complete a little each week.
The PebblePad weekly tasks build into the research workbook which is evidence for your understanding and application of research. It will also demonstrate your ability to search for relevant literature and synthesise research in a way that informs your practice. It is essential that you work on each assignment task weekly for effective time and workload management for this module, which hopefully will also help you manage the stress levels and enjoy this module.
Assignment structure
1. Introducing your area of interest and formulating a research question (400 words)
2. Reporting your search strategy and identifying three primary qualitative, quantitative, or mixed-methods articles that are highly relevant to your chosen topic (700 words)
3. Research summary (1600 words) of which:
• Overview of the articles (methodology, critical appraisal and findings) (600 words)
• Ethical review of the selected articles (500 words)
• Issues of participation and co-production (500 words)
4. Conclusion (300)
This assignment should be written in third person with references and the required appendices.
