1. Assessment 3 – LO3 (60%) Individual essay answering the following question:
Topic: To what extent does the level of Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) commitment assist a business with their sustainable management practices?
You should focus your response on organisations with 50-250 employees (medium-sized organisation).
Your essay should include:
- Introduction (Weighted 20%). You should explain the relevant terminology and discuss the main characteristics of an organisation of this size, in relation to the topic area.
- Main Discussion (weighted 50%). You should analyse and explore the extent of CSR practices and how these can impact sustainable and management practices.
- Summary (25%). How has your analysis assisted your judgement against the easy question? Can you make any observations that would help businesses to improve this area?
- Other considerations (5%). Logical structure of the essay, correct use of referencing, language proficiency and coherence.
Instructions:
The report must adhere to standard academic documentation standards:
● Use appropriate citation and reference according to the Harvard Referencing format in order to avoid plagiarism. Cases of plagiarism will be penalized in accordance to university regulation.
● Use font size of 12 pt. in a legible font
● Use 1.5-line spacing.
● Use your own words to convince that you understand what you are writing, and not just ‘copy and paste’. Your own words must account for not less than 80% of the total word count.
● Write within 1000 words, excluding appendices, diagrams, figures, tables etc.; the appendices, if needed, should be limited to 2 pages.
