Your Tasks (Workbook Overview)
- Work as part of your allocated group (Public Health Seminar Group).
- Explore the health of an extended family across four generations in an urban environment.
- Identify physical, intellectual, emotional, and social factors affecting each family member’s health.
- Complete workbook sections for each individual:
- Health and social issues.
- Risk factors (lifestyle/family history/urban environment).
- Public health interventions.
- Potential for Health Promotion messages (especially via film).
- Map issues intergenerationally using the schematic plan provided.
🎬 Health Promotion Film Challenge
- Choose one Public Health issue you think is preventable or manageable.
- Base your choice on the family case study.
- Work with your group to plan, write, and create a 3-minute film.
- Film must:
- Address a real issue from the workbook.
- Be informative, evidence-based, and suitable for a target audience.
- Present your film on Thursday, 5th June in the LLT.
- Upload it to Canvas.

- Reflect on your learning using Carper’s Four Ways of Knowing (Empirical, Personal, Moral/Ethical, Aesthetic).
