This assignment requires you to produce a reflective essay of 2500 words ± 10% consisting of 2 parts. The details of the essay are as follows:
1. Part 1 of the essay: HRM knowledge is produced through rigorous research based on various philosophical standpoints (research philosophies). Identify and analyze the research philosophies of epistemology, ontology and pragmatism. Reflect on how they can be applied to produce HRM knowledge. Your reflection should also focus on the research methodology (qualitative, quantitative and mixed), research methods (data collection methods), sampling methods and data analysis methods and match these to appropriate research philosophies.
Start with an introduction of the reflective essay. Then, you need to present a robust literature review on epistemology, ontology and pragmatism before identifying and analyzing the research philosophies or philosophical standpoints. Your reflection on how the production of HRM knowledge through research should then be outlined focusing on the research methodology (qualitative, quantitative and mixed), research methods (data collection methods), sampling methods and data analysis methods and match these to appropriate research philosophies (epistemology, ontology and pragmatism). Your reflective essay should be well supported with academic literature (sources). These should be textbooks, journal articles and credible reports and not questionable internet sources.
2. Part 2 of the essay: Identify an individual that you may consider to be a narcissistic leader. Reflect and discuss the characteristics that make this individual to be narcissistic.
Start with an introduction of the second part of the essay. Then, you need to present a robust literature review on leadership and narcissistic leadership. Your literature review should also include the characteristics of narcissistic leadership. You should then provide a reflective analysis of the characteristics that makes the individual to be narcissistic. Your ideas should be backed up with relevant academic literature (sources). These should be textbooks, journal articles and credible reports and not questionable internet sources.
Finally, your reflective essay should end with a comprehensive conclusion. You should include a list of references (at least 30) which you have used and should be arranged in alphabetical order. You are allowed to write in the first person since it is a reflective essay.
