Choose two of the readings we’ve looked as so far this semester. Any story you choose must be listed on the syllabus. Then compare and/or contrast those two readings on one of the following topics.
- Compare/contrast how the text’s illustrations relate to the message or theme of the story. Are there any differences or similarities in how the illustration relates to the story?
- Compare/contrast two stories that deal with misbehaving characters — What are the significant differences and/or similarities in their approach to teaching lessons on obedience or self-care?
- Compare/contrast two stories that deal with toys that come to life — What are the. significant differences and/or similarities in how these stories portray toys coming to life?
- Compare/contrast two classic children’s stories that we’ve read that you feel speak volumes to your generation. Why are these text still relevant today?
