The Impact of Media Coverage, Funding Allocation, and Societal Gender Norms on the Disparity in Participation and Visibility Between Female and Male Athletes

Gender inequality in sports is still a problem at both the professional and amateur levels. Historically, women have been represented in sports, and when compared to their male counterparts, female athletes frequently face unfair conditions. A number of issues, such as media coverage, financial distribution of income, and cultural gender standards, can be blamed for the differences in visibility and participation between male and female athletes.
