THIS IS TWO DIFFERENT ASSIGNMENTS
To successfully complete this assignment, short essays must adhere to the following guidelines:
- Your written submission should be between 300-500 words to receive full credit and include citations from at least two references from the reading or self-study.
- Your submission should be double-spaced and written in 12-point font; the style used—APA, Chicago, MLA—is the student’s choice, but that style must be used consistently and correctly.
- Submissions will be assessed for narrative style, written clarity, and passive voice, and must be free of spelling, grammar, and punctuation errors.
For this exercise, answer the following questions and submit your answers within an attached document (e.g. a Word document).
For Module 4, we are learning about data management. Consider your grades data at KU (the grades you’ve earned in your classes at KU). KU can use such data with analytics to help with decisions supporting improving student retention, for students trying to predict the grade they will earn in a class, or in assessing various class evaluation strategies.
–For this assignment, choose three of the five phases of the Data Life Cycle (Creation, Storage, Use, Archival, Deletion) and discuss what KU needs to consider within each of the three phases regarding student grades data. What questions does KU need to ask during the three phases regarding the data. For example, with student grades data, in the storage phase of the data life cycle, KU would have to consider the amount of storage they would need to store the data. For example: “How much storage space is needed for this data?”
Submission details: double space, 12 point font, submission should be 1/2 to 1 page in length (for general guidance).
