This research paper does have parts to it but the official paper is due on the 10th of April. There is one part of this research paper that is due tonight, but other than that everything is due on the 10th.
Your final project must be at least four pages of essay plus a works cited page; the essay and works cited page must be in MLA9. You must find scholarly and/or primary research on your essay topic. You will be penalized for non-scholarly sources. Do not stop researching once you have found a set number of research sources β find the most appropriate sources for the assignment.
The essay must include direct quotations from the research and the literature as support for the argument. The works cited page should only list the literature you are working with and the sources you cite in the essay. Your final project will be submitted as rich text or Word files; no other file type will be accepted.
You will be writing a research paper about a work of literature from our Course Calendar; you may work with any text from the Medieval Period unit, Renaissance & Early Seventeenth Century unit, or Restoration & Eighteenth Century unit. However, you may not work with any text that used for any of the previous major assignments.
Create an argument about the literature β you must have a debatable thesis statement and evidence for your argument drawn from the literature and your research. The thesis should answer your research questions. If needed, choose a theory lens for analyzing your chosen work.
Argue a point about your chosen work. Your thesis should present your argument about the literature. Your position must be insightful and debatable. Make sure your approach is not a summary of the plot, a historical analysis, a biography of the author, or a non-literary argument.
