Certain elements of childhood — school, play,
homework — are often considered universal by
those who live in industrial societies like the
 United States. Evolutionary anthropologist Dorsa
Amir draws from her time living in foraging
societies to explain how the post-industrial
experience of childhood is a relatively new
development for humanity with wide-ranging
 implications for child development and
parenting.

Dorsa. Amir’s TEDTalk? What resonated most?
(2). How can we relate what she is saying to
     organizing and designing the environments
and facilities children in our community spend.        most of their time?
