As you read, focus on the character that you analyzed and discussed in Essay 2.
- Read and review your evaluated Essay 2 submitted in Canvas on April 12th.
- Make note of my suggestions and corrections so that you don’t repeat the same errors and omissions in Essay 3.

Before you start Part 2 Chapters 5-8, read Essay 3 so that you can plan your reading, discussion, and research.

Third: The discussion:
- How to enter Discussion 21 and make your first discussion post (worth 30 of the 50 points available):
- Important: Format your discussion post in this way:

The first word of your first posting in the discussion should be the character’s name (the character you have been discussing in Essay 2 and Essay 3).

It should be: Delaney or Kyra or Candido or America

That tells other students and me which character you will be analyzing in your first post.

Then go on to post your interpretation and thoughts about this character you have chosen.
- Identify, describe, and explain a character’s changes in behavior, psychology (emotion, mood, thinking).

- After your first post, reply to posts made by other students (required: two of them at 10 points each of the 50 points available):

Look for other students posts which have also selected “your” character.

Read those posts.

Reply to the one you find interesting and want to make a contribution to.

You can expand and develop the interpretation in the post or you can debate and argue against that interpretation.

Don’t just say, “I agree” or “I disagree” Develop your reasons why.
