Read Nathan Berea “Whatever You Do Someone Will Die” and Laura Van Den Berg “I Looked for You, I Called Your Name.” Choose one character in either story (can be a protagonist or antagonist, can be major or minor) and write an imagined piece in his or her voice. This piece can be either his or her 1) Diary entry or 2) Personal letter of correspondence or 3) Journal account. (Whole “Portfolio” is due on or before Sunday, April 21 midnight. It will feature, inside one file you send to the Dropbox, the creative pieces from short stories that we read from separate weeks. Each piece would be at least 750 words, but most students go over that.)
