Could you please write an Abstract for my reasearch proposal also, thank you. I’ve attached 2 guides on what an abstract should contain.
As a part of this writing exercise, you will perform a peer-review of portions of one other students paper. Paper assignments will be made at random. See the right hand column of the “Whose paper do you review” posting in the previous module. The major items your peer-review should take into account are the content of the paper and the structure of the work. Download your classmate’s paper from the previous Discussion Board, save it as Myname_review of classmate’s name. So I would save my review of Mr. Smith’s paper as Tiefenback_reviewofSmith) Use the review tab for word or open office to record your basic revisions. You can write a paragraph for your comments. Make sure it is clear that you wrote that paragraph.
For content ask “Does this make sense?” “Is the point clear?” For the literature review: Is the it focused on the area of the stated problem with no BS? Does it refer to a reasonable number of studies? Did your classmate analyze the results and conclusions of the studies and not just repeat what the author of the study thought about the work? For the method section: “Will this experiment answer the research question?” Using what you have learned in your textbook, point out problems with research design. Does the method section tell who the subjects will be, what procedures and instruments will be used and how the data will be analyzed?
Reread the paper assignment. Does your peer’s work meet the requirements of the assignment? . Suggest revisions. Look at the grading rubrics for the paper, has your classmate included everything that is necessary?
For the structure of the work consider the grammar, spelling, sentence structure, paragraph structure, APA reference style and whether in text citations are missing.
A grading rubric is attached. This assignment is as important as your discussions with your mentor. I will be assessing your review of the assigned paper and will score your work according to the rubric below.
Your responsibility as a reviewer is to perform a thorough evaluation of the paper; to this effect, you must provide both flags for structural problems and substantive comments about the content. You must post all peer reviews to the discussion board in a .doc or .docx format attachment. Some reviewers have also used different fonts or colors of highlighters for their comments. It should be very clear what your work is and what part is the author’s original document. You are not to make revisions to the work just to flag items that need the author’s consideration.
