Research topic: Women of Color in Leadership Roles and Psychological Safety in the Workplace
Synthesize the quantitative evidence of the problem and the suggestions for future studies into a draft of your problem and gap statements. Use the example from this week and the following guidelines to draft your problem statement:
- Clearly introduce your study based on the feedback from Week 1
- One clear, concise statement beginning with “The problem to be addressed through this study is….”
- Evidence the problem with facts and quantitative results from the current literature.
- Evidence the measurable consequences of the problem.
- Transition into your statement of the gap. For example, by stating “although this problem is well documented, there is a gap in the literature about…….”
- Evidence the gap from a synthesis of current authors’ suggestions for future research.
- Explain what might happen if the gap in knowledge about the problem is not addressed. Be mindful that the significance of a problem is judged by its
