Persuasive Speech Topic Outline – What can we do to reduce our reliance on fossil fuels?

Persuasion (4-6 minutes)

Purpose: To change the views of the target audience and /or evoke action.This must be in a problem – solution to an external site. organizational pattern. In this type of speech, you will discuss a problem, what you believe is causing the problem, and then what the solution should be to correct the problem.

 A TYPED works cited must accompany the speech for grading; 5 points will be deducted if not submitted with the speech. 

Must include introduction, body, and conclusion. Note cards must be used. Research requirements are: speech must include and correctly verbally CITE at least 5 reliable (CRAAP-tested)Links to an external site. sources (only 1.com is permitted; .edu/.gov/.org/.mil is okayLinks to an external site.) from the past 5 years.

This speech will focus on the introduction, conclusion, body and citations of the speech and will act as the final for the course – show me what you have learned and how you have progressed throughout the semester.
