- Find a job/intern posting for a career that you are interested in. If you cannot find one in Handshake, you may use other resources/websites.
- Copy and paste the job description into a word document and upload it as an attachment to this assignment.
- Write a 2-3 paragraph summary answering the following questions:
- What caught your interest in this posting?
- How have you come to the conclusion that it is a legitimate posting and not a scam?
- Research the company website and other resources, such as Glassdoor and LinkedIn, to learn more about the employer’s mission, vision, core values, history, etc. What are they?
- Do you meet the qualifications of the position? Which qualifications do you meet? Which qualifications do you need to work on? How are you working on meeting the qualifications?
- What items in the job posting surprise or concern you? What excites you about the position and what might be a challenge?
- How well does the organization align with your preferences and needs?
PART 3 (5 POINTS): Write a targeted Cover Letter
