Select a subject area of study ( language arts,) and identify an objective to be taught. The student will research the objective, identify at least two instructional models (one basic and one advanced) that can be used to teach the objective and teach the lesson two different times employing first a basic instructional model, and then an advanced model.
First, the two lesson plans will be developed – one for each instructional model to be employed….they are to be uploaded separately – as an assignment for Module 4 (basic model lesson plan) and Module 5 (advanced model lesson plan).
After lesson implementation, each student will write a reflective paper (minimum 2 pages) where they are to evaluate which instructional model was most effective for the learners they worked with. The paper should compare/contrast the strategies and discuss the pros/cons of using the models chosen for the particular subject area addressed. Learner work samples from each of the two different lesson implementations should be included with the reflective paper.
