In three pages (not including title and references), summarize the key points of your selection and describe how you will apply what you learned to your new roles as a DNP- Acute Care Adults and Gerontology. Include the following sections in your paper and use headings:
1. Identify the author and briefly describe what makes him or her credible
2. Identify or describe the key leadership style used in the book and describe which AONL competencies are most relevant to this approach.
3. Analyze the effectiveness of the leader and/or approach. Why is the approach or this leader effective at bringing about results? Tip: This part of the rubric is worth the most amount of points.
4. Describe how the information helped you conceptualize your future role as a nurse leader. To address this part, write one succinct paragraph describing how you will personally apply tips and pointers you learned from the selected text to your future leadership role. Be specific with examples. You may use first person for this section of the paper.
5. Please use a descriptive title for your paper rather than “Leadership Paper”. Developing an accurate, clear title with key words is an important skill for beginning writers. A title that accurately reflects the information of a paper or article will be more readily found by readers interested in this topic.
