My assignment is to write a paper. this is the assignment created by the teacher: This individual paper allows you to demonstrate your knowledge, comprehension, ability to apply and analyze. The purpose of the individual paper is to give you the opportunity to address a specific problem statement that is related to a topic relevant to my course of corporate governance..
It is important that your paper thoroughly analyzes the selected problem statement and synthesizes your personal views (i.e., own opinion). The paper must have a clear structure (with an introduction, body and conclusion), and the introduction must contain an explicit problem statement, one that is neither too broad nor too narrow. The problem statement can be academic but can also be more practical (applied) in nature. The problem statement needs to be formulated in the form of a question.
You are basically free to choose your own problem statement. In addressing the problem statement, you should use relevant literature dealt with during the course as a starting point. However, you are explicitly encouraged to search for and use other literature, or even conduct your own small-scale research. Some examples of problem statements are provided via the Student Portal. While you can choose one of these examples, you are encouraged to come up with your own problem statement.
The individual paper must be minimally 1250 words and maximally 1600 words for the main text (i.e., introduction, body and conclusion, this is excluding title page, table of contents, abstract, references, and any appendices). With line spacing 1.5 and font size/type 12 Times New Roman, 1250 words corresponds to about 4 pages and 1600 words corresponds to little over 5 pages. Within the permitted range of 1250 and 1600 words, no credit is given for additional length. Negative credit is given for length below 1250 words. Negative credit is given for length above 1600 words because one of the criteria is to be able to express yourself clearly and concisely.
The problem statement i choose is: how to prevent equity capital from increasing due to greenwashing in the automotive industry. I took this because there was one article in my course talking about the cost of equity capital reducing due to CSR initiatives. However i thought not all CSR are genuine and that leads to greenwashing. Greenwashing often happens in the automotive industry and i therefore thought it was an interesting problem statement to ask. The article that i uploaded is the one that comes from the course itself and therefore need to use in my paper as well. the Guidelines of my paper are:
-
1) Givetheessayaninformativetitleanduseatitlepage(includeyourname, studentID, course title, course code, and date).
-
2) Include a short abstract (abstract of no more than 200 words).
-
3) Evaluation is based on whether you show profound knowledge and understanding, and
whether you can apply and integrate different articles to show what you have learned.
-
4) Use at least 8 different academic articles (of which at least 1 but no more than 3 are
from the Reference List or optional readings).
-
5) You can make use of practical cases to illustrate a point, but you do not have to.
-
6) Use APA style for citations and the reference list.
-
7) Use for all parts 1.5 line spacing, 1-inch margins, and Times New Roman font size 12.
-
8) Indicate the number of words used in the main text just below your conclusion (count
should exclude title page, table of contents, abstract, references, and any appendices).
