Prior to beginning work on this discussion forum, read Chapter 7 from the course text, Software Testing Foundations.
As we discussed throughout this course, software testing is not an easy task. Therefore, it is very common to use CAST tools (computer aided software testing) to help. The good news is that there are different CAST tools that will help you through the different aspects of the software testing. The bad news is that you have many of these tools to pick from, and some of these tools are actually very expensive.
In this discussion, explain the best way to evaluate these different CAST tools and how to objectively pick the right tools for the right tasks. If the tools are expensive, explain how you would justify the cost of these tools to your leaders in the organization.
