? Important Setup Instructions for the Project
Here are a few things you must know before working on my project:
✅ Tools Required
- Docker Desktop
- You need to download Docker Desktop and install it.
- You must create a Docker account and sign in — Docker won’t run unless you’re signed in.
- Make sure Docker is always running in the background while you’re working.
- Ubuntu Terminal (WSL2)
- You must use the Ubuntu terminal (not PowerShell, not Command Prompt, not Git Bash).
- If you don’t have it, install Ubuntu from the Microsoft Store.
- You don’t need a separate account for Ubuntu — just install and use it.
⚠️ Things to Watch Out For
- Docker will sometimes pause itself to save resources.
- If your terminal hangs or doesn’t work properly, check Docker Desktop and click “Resume” to unpause it.
- Always use Ubuntu Terminal to run all commands, such as:
- docker compose up –build
✅ Final Tip:
Before handing me the code:
- Make sure it runs properly in Docker using Ubuntu.
- Test that all main features (like /register and all the other ones that are in the http://localhost:8000/docs) work.
