The Capstone product can take the shape of a grant proposal. Grant proposals can be written for financing programs (e.g., educational), organizations (e.g., NGO), business ventures (e.g., start up or small business in the community), or research. The grant proposal should present an understandable research question with clear goals and objectives, review of supporting literature, study design, method of analysis, limitations, implications and significance of the research.
Grant Outline:
· Title page: Title (10-20 words) and CEPH and track competencies addressed in the paper
· Cover Letter (introduces and summarizes the proposal). This is a separate document from the main grant proposal document. It should be addressed to:

· Summary of the Proposal (brief description of the project and a statement of how much money is being requested)
· Statement of Need/ Purpose of the project or grant
· Project description which includes: (250-350 words)
o Review of the Literature
o Approach: Defining Problem areas addressed
· Materials and Methods*: must clearly define the study design, hypothesis/research question, the target population, sample selection (inclusion and exclusion criteria), methods to be implemented and justification, the process for data collection, data collection instruments, data analysis and storage, data reporting, and IRB information, including informed consent form, if required.
· Anticipated findings/results*: must explain what is expected based on literature review and study assumptions.
· Dissemination of findings*: must explain the dissemination process and the application of acquired knowledge.
· Evaluation*: description of how the success of the project will be determined
· Implementation timeline
· Budget: table with a brief narrative justifying the proposed project budget.
· Credentials: experience/strengths of researcher(s) and support staff. (300 words)
· References: minimum of 20 references (follow APA 7th edition for referencing style and format)
· Appendices
* These combined sections should not exceed a total of 3,500 words and can include up to 4 tables
