From Maize to Mining: Latin America’s Foundational Contributions to the Western World and the United States

Using the professors quidelines can you review an essay: In answering each question, you are supposed to start with a brief outline, but this is intended to help you organize your argument, and will not be graded. Use whatever format works best for you. Every answer needs to include some historiography. Since I do not expect you to use citation, all you need to do is mention some historians in your argument, and how they support your argument. I always look for at least two historians, but the more the merrier. You are not allowed to use any outside resources, so no notes, books, or internet. This all has to be written from memory. Typically, at a minimum, I am looking for the sort of information you would deliver in a lecture to an undergraduate class(I at a masters level). As with any essay exam, the more specific information you can provide to support your argument, the better.
