1) Black-on-black or brown-on-brown gentrification occurs when affluent black people or Latinos gentrify a predominately black or Latino neighborhood, respectively. Looking through “Harlem’s Hedge Against Gentrification,” “A Puerto Rican Rebirth in El Barrio,” and “Harlem Pas de Deux” find evidence showing the occurrence of, effect of, and attitudes towards Black-on-black or brown-on-brown gentrification. You should find one piece of evidence from each article, meaning three pieces of evidence total.

2) Looking through “Harlem’s Hedge Against Gentrification,” find and explain two pieces of evidence that provide “solutions” to, or ways to protect low-income residents from, displacement.
