The assignment is an integrated case study report where I had to choose an environmental management issue somewhere globally. I decided. to choose New Zealand as I have family there. The issue I chose is the style of harvesting (clear-cut) they use for their forestry plantations, as it has negative effects on the environment.
The assignment should be focused on the problem of clear-cut harvesting, the underlying causes and issues of the harvesting, and the current environmental management practices and why they are inadequate. For my recommendations, I recommend using the popular European practice of selective logging in steep areas instead.
I have included documents with all of the instructions, marking rubric, structure, etc. including my project proposal with rough outlines for each paragraph, some basic research and information I found, and some sources I thought might be useful.
