The Council on Social Work Education’s 2022 Educational Policies and Accreditation Standards place an emphasis on antiracism, diversity, equity, and inclusion. These standards are also highlighted in our core social work values: social justice, the dignity and worth of the person, the importance of human relationships, integrity, competence, human rights, and scientific inquiry. Finally, The Declaration of Human Rights further emphasizes the freedoms that belong to everyone regardless of race, sex, language, creed or any other factor. After you review the Learn items: Watch: Social Work Values, the Bible, and Read: Keith-Lucas, Gregory, and Bauer, discuss the following:
- the difference between being antiracist and being nonracist,
- the importance of antiracism in social work practice, and
- the biblical perspective of antiracism. Please address all three writing prompts and support your response by citing at least two Bible verses.
