- Discussion forum assignments should be submitted by the due dates in the course schedule (see course schedule at the close of the course syllabus). All late discussion assignment work will be penalized no matter the reason, so please plan accordingly.
- Complete all discussion board assignments by the due dates per the course schedule. See the due dates in the course schedule at the end of the syllabus. Discussion assignments must be submitted by the due date (11:59 p.m. C.T.) to avoid a late penalty. Discussion responses must be submitted using the Canvas course-designated discussion response. No discussion assignments will be accepted via email.
- Discussion questions will be listed (under the discussion board) for each chapter. You are to choose one of the listed discussion questions. For your chosen initial discussion question, you must respond to all the questions in a scholarly and well-thought-out manner. Your response must be at least 400 words. In addition, you must cite the sources from which you gather your response with in-text citations and a reference list at the close of your posts. Citing a source must be done in APA format.
- You must post two secondary responses for each module discussion. Secondary responses can be responses to your classmates, instructor-provided resources, or instructor questions. These responses must be scholarly and provoke additional thought and/or comments of at least 200 words. Your response should stimulate further conservation and/or ask thought-provoking questions. Responding “good job” does not equate to a scholarly response to another learner’s posting. Always add your name to the bottom of every posting.
- You are required to demonstrate good academic writing and APA formatting (in-text citations and a reference list).
- You may post early but must post by the discussion assignment deadline (Sunday of each week by 11:59 p.m. Central). See the course syllabus for the course schedule.
- Grading of the discussion question postings: You can earn up to 100 points (7 discussion assignments worth 100 points each) for answering discussion questions and responding with two secondary posts.
