Develop Goals/Objectives, Complete SWOT Analysis, Identify Staff, and Develop Preliminary Checklist

For this assignment, each student will need to consider what event (real or fictitious) you will manage for Assignment #2. This needs to be an event in which you are the primary event manager, and have the control and responsibility that accompany that position.

Students will create a vision statement based on the goals of his/her event. This vision should encompass the whole purpose of the event but also be specific to what the short-term and long-term goals are.
Next, students need to complete a SWOT analysis and identify and assign roles within the event, including the use of paid, volunteer, and contractor services.
Finally, students must create a checklist with a timeline for completion that addresses the different facets of running your event, including preliminary meetings, event day concerns, and post-event operations.
