Introduction
- Background information about the movie, i.e., was it responding to a social event or parodying something?
- The movie director and main characters/ stars
- Thesis statement and the reason for analysis – your overall take on the movie.
Plot Synopsis
- Brief plot summary of the movie – do NOT copy a summary from an online source!
- Present competent knowledge about the movie, i.e., prove that you actually watched it.
Themes
- Highlight the main theme of the movie, and explain how they became apparent to you.
- The significance of the themes – what makes them stand out or gives them importance?
Visual element
- Describe the visual appearance, impressive camera work, the angles, the shot the set designs like costumes, location, and lighting.
Conclusion
- Review of your personal opinion about the movie.
- Rate the movie and present your recommendations, i.e., other films that you might liken to it to, readings from our coursework, etc.
Stylistically, you need to write in 12-point Times New Roman font, aligned left, double-spaced, with 1″ margins.
