– An essay must be written on the chosen question: “Critically examine the contributions of Freud and Rodgers to our understanding of personality.” with relevance to chapter 3 of ‘Personality, Individual Differences and Intelligence’ (5th edition) by Maltby, Day and Macaskill.
– The essay must be 1000 words.
– Key terms defined. Key terms are relevant to essay question.
– Excellent and critical discussion of 2 theories from each psychologist.
– Theories clearly relevant to essay question and must be explained. For Freud it must be Psychoanalytic theory!!!!!!!!!!! and for Rodgers it must be Person Centered Theory!!!!!!!
– Three arguments present. Each argument must be its OWN paragraph and must highight their effectivness/ineffectivness in regards to our underdtanding of personality.
– Three scholarly sources must be used in each argument.
– Arguments are well integrated with theory and research.
– Excellent and critical discussion/explanation of empirical research findings. Appropriate number of sources referenced. There MUST be 3 sources per argument and they MUST be empirical and not lay.
– All arguments provide a clear answer to the essay question.
