I NEED A DRAFT AUGUST 3RD TO UPDATE MY PROFESSOR WHERE I AM SO FAR IN THE PAPER.
The Paper is a Critical Analysis for my Cumulative Experience for my MPH degree. My paper is focused or is about “High Obesity Rates among African American Adults in the United States.”
If you follow the methods I set out in the second draft proposal, you should be good to go. You can also check the reference lists of included articles to see if there are other relevant resources (if you do this, please make sure you include it in your methods too).
For my three specific aims listed:
- To conduct a comprehensive literature review that identifies and analyzes the primary factors that contribute to high obesity rates among African Americans. (Make sure you list out these factors and cite the evidence around how they contribute to high obesity rates among African Americans)
- To identify effective, evidence-based, community-engaged, culturally tailored interventions and policies targeting obesity in African American adults (Make sure you create an explicit, well-cited list of these in the results section of your paper.)
- To formulate specific recommendations for policy makers and community leaders on targeted interventions and policies that are effective, culturally tailored, evidence-based, and engage community. (This is my unique contribution and should include new recommendations based on the research you reviewed.)
Writing format requirements:
All written submissions shall be completed using Microsoft Word, with Arial, Calibri, or Times
New Roman fonts, font size 12-point, formatted as double spaced (with the exception of
table/figure and/or appendix content, if applicable), and 1-inch margins throughout. Please
insert page numbers on Final Papers. Papers are to be 25 pages maximum of main body text
(exclusive of title page, scientific abstract, references, and any appendices, as applicable). Paragraphs should
be indented; there should be no additional spaces inserted between different sections of the
paper. You may use either APA or AMA styleโthis includes in-text citations, reference
lists, and table/figure formatting; use this chosen style correctly and
consistently throughout the paper.
Side note:
Plese document the literature review results. Approach the literature search systematically and keep careful track of results. I highly recommend using covidence to carefully track and document literature review results. So you can create a flow chart of how many articles were reviewed for each search, how many were excluded, for what reasons, and how many were ultimately included.
