construct an open-ended question about a specific dietary supplement that interests you. This assignment will relate to Lesson Objective 4: Evaluate nutrient and health claims made on food and supplement labels.

Please be sure to state the claims made on the label of the supplement you’ve chosen, and explain what type of claim it is in your post.  Where you go from there is up to you!  Some areas of interest in the supplement you’ve chosen could be whether research validates the claims made on the label, if the supplement is tested for ingredients responsible for the claim (be sure to note the ingredient you’re researching), or even whether any ingredients in the product are regulated.

Here is a hint to help you with this assignment.  Vitamin and mineral supplements generally don’t work well for this assignment as few carry claims on the label.  Think about a supplement that you’ve heard about from friends, family or social media that you’re interested in exploring.  It could be a wieght loss supplement, one that grows hair, one that increases strength or energy levels – anything that piques your interest!
