Each student will construct a fictional
narrative in which they will tell a story of an immigrant and their journey to
the United States. The student will choose a specific national/ethnic group
from any time period, research the immigration experiences of members of the
group, and apply the concepts and theories discussed in lecture and in assigned
readings to the construction of the narrative.
I have attached some readings we have done in class to help and some concepts and theories are
Nationalism and Nativism.
