Connections between the poem “The Arab’s Farewell to His Steed” and James Joyce’s “Araby” short story
For this assignment, you are to read the poem “The Arab’s Farewell to His Steed” which is spoken about in Joyce’s short story “Araby”. At first glance, there does not seem to be a connection between the little boy in search of a gift for his young crush and the poem about a horse (that’s what a steed is). In reality, there are many connections though.
